According to Gartner's latest global research report, Samsung and Apple, together have Consumed 17% of Total Semiconductor Demand in 2013. This makes them the highest consumer in the calendar year 2013.

Just so you know, the world-wide PC shipments fell 10% last year, research firms Gartner Inc. and IDC said Thursday, the worst-ever sales slump for the industry. Both companies have been tracking personal computer sales since the 1980s.
