Kingston DataTraveler microDuo: Sharing Made Easier

Long weekends are a perfect opportunity to take time off work and spend it with family and friends. For many of those who return from the weekend with a smartphone or a tablet filled with great pictures and videos, it can be difficult to transfer those pictures over to the computer. Imagine having to transfer the same files to another computer, another tablet or a friend’s smartphone!! One may have Cloud access where the files are automatically uploaded but that would take a lot of time and could cost for data. Kingston’s DataTraveler microDuo USB drive can pitch in and make lives easier. Kingston, a well-known manufacturer of storage devices, has designed a clever device that lets the user transfer files from an Android device to the computer or other Android devices, with ease.

The microDuo is a unique 2-in-1 storage drive for Android smartphone or tablet users. It uses the microUSB port on Android devices – often used for charging – to expand storage up to 64GB. With more and more smartphones being introduced with no expansion slots for memory cards, this Dual USB drive can come to the rescue.

Features and Highlights

It is a unique pen drive, about the size of an average ‘Ctrl’ key on a physical keyboard. Though its form is tiny, it has a strong built, champagne gold body and brown plastic cover. The best part is that both sides of the pen drive are equipped with USB ports. While one is a regular USB port for PC use while the other side has a micro USB port for mobile use.

The Kingston microDuo dual interface USB drive is easy to use. The user only needs to plug in the pen drive into your phone’s charging port for it to work. They can then share data across all PCs and laptops and also all compatible Android tablets and smartphones. The microDuo users can carry their additional data, music, videos or photos and access them whenever they need it.

The Kingston microDuo is available in four capacities — 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.

This storage drive can be used on any PC and laptop and is compatible only with a limited number of OTG-compliant smartphones and tablets. The list is detailed as under:

Even though the MicroDuo 2-in-1 USB Flash Drive is not USB 3.0 compatible it's very cheap and works as advertised. making life easier for tablet owners.
