ASUS unveils VivoBook S550CM Ultrabook in India

I have just recently got an update from ASUS India mentioning that they have launched their metal-styled touch VivoBook S550CM Ultrabook in India. This metal styled Ultrabook comes with an Optical Drive. It packs touch, discrete performance, SSD speed and hard drive storage capacity in a sleek design.

The ASUS VivoBook S550CM comes with glass panel touchscreen and optimized software. With its Ultrabook form-factor, the notebook packs exciting features in a slender build, matching the dynamic nature of the new, high-portable and intuitive computing.
The notebook provides a deeper and richer bass, a wider audio range, true-to-life surround, powerful output, distinct vocals and clarity. It operates with Windows 8 OS, ASUS Smart Gesture technology and has i5-3317U Intel Core processor, thus improving touch input with a wide range of supported motions.

It also has a range of features such as 15.6” HD touchscreen, 4GB DDR3 RAM and a HD camera, which ASUS has developed especially for the Windows 8-based devices, enabling fuller immersion in the new operating system. With just one key press, the notebook engages and loads the Instant Functions for more customization options.

The notebook comes with one year warranty at a price of Rs.57,999/-
