HyperX Sets Another Overclocking World Record at 4351MHz

HyperX Sets Another Overclocking World Record at 4351MHz
As per the corporate release and official results,  HyperX (the gaming part of Kingston) has set yet another DDR4 Overclocking World Record at 4351MHz! Overclocker 'Toppc', of MSI, achieved this frequency by using one 4GB HyperX Predator 3333MHz DDR4 module on the new MSI X99S XPOWER AC motherboard, thus making it the Fastest XMP-certified Memory Kit.

That's not all, HyperX Predator DDR4 Holds 10 of the Top 20 Memory Clock Records. Eight of those records were set at the recent HyperX OC Takeover (HOT) event during 2015 International CES®, where the world’s top overclockers gathered to compete for $15,000 (USD) in prize money.

The Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) allows users to overclock memory beyond standard specifications. To gain XMP certification, memory modules must pass a rigorous test procedure that ensures stability and reliability.

For the extreme beginners:

Both capacity and frequency of your RAM are important. Once your CPU cache is exhausted and the CPU no longer needs any of that data, the CPU will request new data from your RAM. This "swapping between CPU cache and RAM" is known as a "cache miss" to programmers. Cache misses are undesirable, because they take about as much time to resolve as about 50 normal instructions take to execute, or even more! Once your RAM is exhausted, the CPU will start swapping contents back and forth between your RAM and your hard disk; Things might really start to slow down now! At this point in time, capacity is the most important as it doesn't matter what the clock speed is, your RAM is always faster than your hard disk.
