Not many know this little thing but Google had taken a step back while making its Jelly Beans OS. After duly considering the major complaints and "Suggestions" of the end users and developers, they have come up with a fantastic solution called "Project Butter".
It’s not a feature that you would get to play around with, which is probably why most people don’t even know of its existence. But it does give a great performance boost to your phone. In a nutshell this might indicate just tweaking the performance of the old UI but Google has not just tweaked the little things here.
Google’s Project Butter addresses speed to make the user experience “buttery smooth” in three distinct areas. Project Butter applies to the entire OS, not just the launcher. This new toy has three competent features VSync, Triple buffering and Touch Responsiveness.
VSync
Think about your low ends... Whats better than getting your graphical performance and increases the frame rate to 60fps! For possibly NO COST
Triple Buffering
What you see on your screen is because of the CPU, GPU and the screen itself. Now, if all these three components work on the same thing, for example, a movie or a game, what you have is a smooth animation, web page views and performance.

Touch Responsiveness
Well this is just another feature to call out. Its made just a tad quicker with predictive system that can tell where might tap the screen. Well, its not as good as it sounds like. This part will still be the same as the last one.

I hope the Android gets better as its just getting in the Competition mode with the Apple iOS and vaguely even Windows 8 now.
